Dr. N.M. VEERAIYAN

Dr. N.M.Veeraiyan was born on 15-11-1947 at Nalligowandanoor, Erode District and had schooling at Kavandapadi.

He is an alumni of Madras Medical College, one of the premier Institutions of this country. He graduated in Dentistry in 1970. A renowned dental surgeon, Dr.Veeraiyan established a 100 bedded multi-specialty hospital in 1977 and also a School of Nursing for Diploma course , the first of its kind in Erode.

Dr. N.M.Veeraiyan, had the ambition to start a model dental college and started Saveetha Dental College & Hospital in Chennai in 1988 and subsequently College of Nursing in 1992, College of Physiotherapy in 1993 and College of Occupational Therapy in 1998 .The service to the cause of education was extended to other fields by establishment of Saveetha Engineering College in 2001.

He had a vision to impart education on par with international standards by updating the curriculum and reforming examination system and to expose & engage students & faculty in research activities . This led to the creation of a Deemed to be University namely Saveetha University in 2005.Later three more institutions were added to the Saveetha family-Saveetha Medical College, Saveetha School of Management and Saveetha School of Law.

Dr. B. Ramesh is the Principal of the institution. He plays a central role, individually and as a group in the University academics administration. He is the key participant in eternal relations of the University for promoting highest quality educational program by recommending world class and advanced teaching methods at SIMATS Engineering.

Dr. S. SRINIVASAN

He has got nearly 22 years of experience in both teaching and research in various engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu. His field of researches are RFID in Biomedical Applications, Internet of Things, Wireless Sensor Network and Biomedical Signal Processing.  He published 70+ papers in international journals and conferences. He has completed consultancy project worth of Rs. 15.2 Lakh in RFID based vehicle tracking and livestock monitoring. His key responsibility as an Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs is to maintain faculty database and work for their welfare. The office also helps facilitate development opportunities for faculty by identifying recognition awards, scholarships, fellowships and professional development programs.

Dr. ANANDA KUMAR

Dr. Ananda Kumar is a professor holding an experience more than 15 years of teaching and learning. His role as an Associate Dean of Students Affairs. The office is responsible for all aspects of student services, including enrollment management, undergraduate and graduate student advising (in collaboration with faculty and departments), financial aid, orientation programs, first-year courses for freshman and transfer students, degree certification, and college commencement ceremonies.

DR. DEEPAK ARUN ANNAMALAI

Dr. Deepak Arun has 14 years of Teaching and Industrial experience with a post-doctoral research experience at the University of Plymouth on the Fabrication of graphene-based transistors for biomedical applications in UK.  He facilitates Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) between the host university and internationally renowned institutes of excellence. His key responsibility as an Associate Dean for International Affairs Collaboration with foreign Universities with respect to dual degree programs, semester abroad programs, student/faculty/ researcher exchange programs, final semester abroad programs, collaborative/joint research, and foreign professor classes at our institute.

ASSOCIATE DEAN - EXTERNAL AFFAIRS

Mr. TITUS RICHARD

Mr. Titus Richard is currently facilitator of English Language with ample experience in English language teaching and training. He heads the Saveetha Foreign Languages Centre organising various language programmes for the students of the university. His key role as an Associate Dean of External Affairs is to issue news to press on various activities in the campus and take care of other public relations of the institution. He facilitates and communicates with the departments to contribute to the newsletter of the university. He also takes care of the outreach activities such as NSS, NCC and UBA of the institution.

Dr. Vickram A S had specialized research in the field of reproductive medicine. He is working in the field of reproductive medicine for the past 8 years and had 48 international publications with 62 cumulative impact factors and 2 book chapters. He had completed 2 PDFs in the field of reproductive medicine. He is holding 12 years of experience. His key role and responsibility as an Associate Dean – Research is to enhance Academic Research, UG research, Sponsored Research, Consultancy Project, Doctoral Research, Gurupadigam, Patent Publications, and grants. He is also involved in the identification of relevant funding agency for the project proposal.

ASSISTANT DEAN - STUDENTS’ RESEARCH

Dr. VIDHYA LAKSHMI SIVAKUMAR

Dr. Vidhya Lakshmi Sivakumar is currently an Associate Professor and possesses 15 years of teaching and research experience. Her Ph.D., in remote sensing technology at Swansea University was fully funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), UK, and the British Council. She has worked in multiple capacities from teaching, and research to administration. Her key role and responsibility as an Assistant Dean for Students' Research is to monitor the UG project research and its standards for publications in leading Scopus and WoS indexed journals.  

ASSISTANT DEAN - RESEARCH

Dr. A. SARAVANAN

Dr. A. Saravanan, Associate Professor in the Department of Sustainable Engineering, Saveetha School of Engineering, SIMATS, Tamilnadu, India. He has 10 years of teaching experience, 08 years of research experience. He is listed as Top 2% Scientists in the World, survey done by Stanford University, USA in the year of 2021 and 2022. His area of research interest is Wastewater treatment technology, Pollution control, and environmental biotechnology. He has published 120+ research and review papers publications in highly reputed international journals and 30+ Book chapters in Elsevier, Springer, CRC Press, etc. He has 6300+ citations with a google scholar h-index of 40+ along with i10 index of 89. He has been awarded the IEI Young Engineers Award 2018-2019.

He is currently plays a key role in supporting doctoral students throughout their academic journey. This involves providing guidance on academic matters, addressing student concerns, and promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment. He may collaborate with faculty members to recruit and mentor doctoral students. They also play a role in ensuring that faculty members are adequately supported in their research and supervisory roles.

With 15 years of teaching experience in Industrial Biotechnology, Dr. Jenila Rani is a dedicated educator committed to professional development. As an active member of the Indian Society for Technical Education, she remains at the forefront of educational advancements.

Dr. Jenila Rani's thirst for knowledge is evident in her participation in technical workshops, showcasing her dedication to continuous learning. Actively engaging in Faculty Development programs, particularly in Outcome-Based Education aligned with the National Board of Accreditation in India, underscores her commitment to evolving teaching methodologies and ensuring effective learning outcomes.

Dr. R. Hariharan is a member of IET and IAENG holding 10 years of experience in teaching and research. He has also served as a reviewer for various reputed journals such as the Journal of Electrical Engineering and Technology and springer. His key responsibility as an Associate Dean - Admission is to identify and facilitate various admission processes pertaining to the institution.

ASSOCIATE DEAN - ACCREDITATION

Dr. NATRAYAN L

Dr. Natrayan's interests lie in the broad area of Computer Integrated Manufacturing. His research works focus on mathematical analysis of material models and Non-homogenous materials. He has bagged the prestigious SIMATS Best Faculty (Rank 1) award in 2022 as well as 13 more research awards in SIMATS. His PhD work has been granted 2 Indian utility patents and published many technical books in the field of Engineering Design. He has 190+ SCI/Scopus research publications in the Scopus database (cumulative IF: 566+) and more than 3500+ citations (H-index: 30+, i-10 index: 100+) to his credit indexed. His key responsibility as an Associate Dean - Accreditation is to identify and facilitate various accreditations that benefit the institution's growth. Processes for monitoring compliance with accreditation standards and documenting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Dr. Prem Kumar is a Associate professor holding an experience more than 15 years of teaching and learning. His role as an Associate Dean of Examination, keeping learning outcomes in mind, his office works in revamping the traditional examination pattern. He monitors and ensures the practical / application-oriented questions with continuous evaluation that leads to a thorough understanding of the concepts.

The Associate Dean of Administration is a responsible for the administrative tasks of the school, containing the facilities, agreements and grants, economic and financial management, space planning and facilities management, academic staff & human resources, and for the direction of daily business operations.

Mr. D. Vinodh graduated from College of Engineering, Guindy, in Engineering Design. He has an experience more than 10 years in teaching and learning. His key responsibility as an audit is to make sure that the various offices of the institution functions as per the guidelines and no work is stagnated at any level.
